Voice Command-tagging?

I am about to purchase either the i760 or Verizon 6800 (suggestions welcomed!). Before I do, I have a critical question about voice command.

I was told by Verizon online support that I must "tag" each contact in order to use VC to dial their numbers. Yet, when I go to the MS site, nothing is said about tagging contacts--just the opposite: https://forums.windowscentral.com/e...2Fmicrosoft%2FvoiceCommand.swf&token=DkPvSlws

This is a very important issue for me as I use voice dialing constantly when in the car using a BT Plantronics headset. This works perfectly on my VZW bb8830.

The question is: must I "tag" each contact or can I simply say "call joe smith mobile" once I have the contacts in the new phone? I have 1,200+ contacts. I certainly don't have time (or the inclination) to "tag" them! :-)

Thanks in advance for any help you can give!

I didn't tag anything on my i760 to use voice commands. It worked right out of the box. The exact same syntax that you used in your message "call joe smith mobile". It even identifies unusually pronounced names pretty well. I was impressed.
