Volume not working when using alarm.

The alarm won't sound. If you press your ear right to the phone, you can very faintly hear it, but if you take your ear away from the phone you can't hear a thing. So it's very, very faint. I've got the volume turned up full but it makes no difference. All other sounds seem ok, ringer, text alert, music and other notifications are fine. It's just the alarm.

My alarm will start almost silent and then with each repeat of alarm tone it gets louder and louder. Depending on length of your alarm tone, it can take as long as 1min till full volume.

Yeah, that seems to be it. It takes 20 seconds or so until you can hear anything, but you're right. Thanks for that.

Alarms are designed like that so as to not scare people up in the morn !

The gradual increase in volume for alarm is a new feature in the OS, but my 650 seems to start lower than my 1520. for some reason.

It's not a new feature ! This has been in Windows Phones since the beginning .

OK, maybe the lower start volume is new... Honestly I never had to let my alarm really ring that long before AU.
