Hi all!
My thought is to merge the tiled parts of the Windows 10 start menu with the Windows Phone implementation of it. Basically take the Windows 7 start menu, and replace the left-most menu with the WP tile menu and app list rather than the jump list and folder/app list. The right section of the menu would essentially stay the same with links to things like documents, control panel, etc.
Businesses could also choose between the WP style menu, or a traditional tile-less Win7 style menu with minimal changes to the overall layout of the UI.
I am, shall we say, less than talented with things like Photoshop. Could anyone put together a mock-up of this kind of layout for me?
If this seems like a good idea then please vote for it here: https://windows.uservoice.com/forum...-a-windows-phone-style-start-screen-to-window
The whole tiled menu sprawling off to the right of the start menu is just a bad idea and needs to be stopped.
Thanks!
