VPN is Flakey on my Fuze

I've been fighting the iPhone urge and even my company's offer to pay for part of one and the data plan but if I don't get better performance out of my Fuze, I may take the plunge.

When I conenct to VPN and do a remote desktop, it is pretty stable. But on VPN, if I try to connect to a network share via File Explorer, it kills my VPN. Proxy is not running and I can't figure out what causes it.

I really don't want to go iPhone but after seeing RDP, VPN and Citrix on one, it has been tempting.

Suggestions?
