I don't know what's happening, but the situation is getting worse and worse after each update here on L950 too: I just installed the new update, the app keeps crashing or gets stuck at the main menu screen with no news to show, only categories appear.
I had to switch to website in order to read some news, at the moment the app is almost useless.

It got this was on my desktop too, I gave up trying to use it. At one point it was using up >10GB of my 32, and almost pegging all 12 cores.
I have the latest revision, before anyone asks.

I saw similar problems, running the web version under the Edge browser, on my desktop, eventually it would basically tank my machine.
Running on Chrome, it's fine indefinitely, a non-issue. I was profiling the Edge issue for awhile, using ResourceMon but even that was a huge pain, given the state my machine got into.

It's a little bit "odd", having to use Chrome to post on WindowsCentral, but for now, I'm sticking with it. Maybe after the anniversary updates, I'll try again.
