Soft reset should bring the flashlight back

Is Cortana still crashing for anyone else?

I just did around 30 random searches on a 635 (512MB) and a 640, and Cortana hasn't crashed once, not even on the 635. It used to crash pretty reliably. It's looking like it's fixed.

No issues, myself, on Lumia 640. Build 318 seemed pretty good, and this seems just as good.

I did after the last build. Still no worky. So why go through all that pain. BTW I am not on insider. I have a 950 these builds were released without joining insider. At some point.. MS should have a way to update with out a hard reset where the data goes nuts and battery melts down for two days while it restores all your stuff.

Maybe I'll do a hard reset this weekend. Cause I cant be plugged in for two days right now while everything gets back to normal. Cortana will likely still be a mess anyway...

Ok.. replying to myself here.. . She works ! Cortana is at least useable after the reset on .338 ! She still gets confused when SMS come in while she is reading or writing... but hey... WAY better than completely broken !

This build was still bad on my Lumia 1320 (froze 2-3 times a day). Froze just after completeing the upgrade too. The hard reset also did not help. Finally moved on to the latest RedStone build 14356.1000 and that is working out to be much better on the Lumia 1320.
- No freeze (so far)
- Scaling is almost perfect
- OS is much faster and apps load quickly

The only issue i have had is Here Maps and Here Drive+ which is a known problem with a lot of people on RedStone Builds with working fixes that i will try out tonight.

how did you get redstone build on Lumia 1320??? I thought that it was not getting an official upgrade or am I missing something ?

Finally my L930's battery have a breath... Phone will not heat up, so far so good. My apps are stable. I really like this build. Wish that, this would arrive a week sooner...

Here pack was dismissed one month ago, it belongs always to Nokia company, wich sold it to some car manufacturer. Now there's Microsoft Maps

I'm guessing the poster did not do a hard reset and hence was able to keep the apps in the system
I still have nokia creative studio installed as well as refocus, cinemagrap etc even though I'm on 10586

+1 she's pretty much useless at this point. and has been for a couple builds... (L950 USA)

I never liked Cortana in the first place and found it useless anyway. Always kept sending me to Bing search results so I disabled it and just go to Bing.

I believe it is Release and made for W10M right now.

Next Tuesday is Patch Tuesday and I expect .338 will hit Production then via WaaS.

I have the GPS icon at the top of the screen constantly, and sometimes disappears. I have the same amount of location-dependent apps as the previous build. But it seems like the build .338 uses location data way more often. Does anyone else have this?

That's the common os behaviour, most of apps use localization (not always GPS, icon is always the same, they uses cell positions) for service, e.g. meteo on homescreen, photos, edge, pinterest, facebook etc.

That may or may not be ready by Tuesday... Release will see it (or higher) eventually, but Patch Tuesday to Production should be tried and true.
