Yes, I am aware that the Threshold branch as a whole has very questionable quality, even on the new W10M devices and the ones that are officially supported for the update. It would seem that Redstone is somewhat more stable, but we'll see.

Anyway, I am still interested whether someone can confirm that the mobile hotspot is working on their Snapdragon S4 device (920/925/1020) as at one point of the Insider Preview it was known for a fact to be broken?

It would be valuable information for me to know that there is a chance of these devices being usable on W10M. Earlier I used 1020 with W10M quite a bit and it work just as good/bad as newer devices, with the exception of mobile hotspot that did not work at all. Unfortunately I broke that device and can't use it for testing anymore.

Is there anyway to find these older ROMs for flashing? I had this build running on my older L521, reset it for a temp childs phone, then tried to get Win 10 back on it. I know the device is unsupported for new builds, but it def ran 10586. I've done all the setup I've always done, but it eventually claims there are no updates avail. I've tried fast ring, slow, and rel preview. I'm assuming that the build is no longer avail directly*from any insider repositories,*but it'd be nice to play with it again.

I would just put it on my current L640, but I need T-Mo Wi-Fi calling inside*our house and it is not working on Win10.
