Waking up the phone

any other way to wake up the 920 besides pressing the power button?

Hold the camera button, but that opens up the camera app directly.

Not sure what you are trying to achieve without more info...

i check my email quite frequently and don't want to have to press the power button a million times and end up destroying it

Its a Nokia it wont happen except after a long time probably longer tahn you'll be using it.

Plug it in to or out of an USB charger, or on/off a wireless charger .
