I'm having my DV8Pro picked up tomorrow for repairs by Dell. My screen constantly acts up and I have lots of problems with WiFi not turning on and they said they'd fix it.
In any event, I'd like to be able to see when it comes back what was done. Hardware change, just software change, etc.. What information can I note down now before it gets sent to Dell to compare with later when it comes back to see what they changed?

Thanks!

I don't think there's much you can really do short of cracking it and voiding the warranty.

Software change, if anything, is probably a fresh factory image.
Hardware wise, I think it'll say somewhere, maybe online attached to the service tag.

Ok, cool, I just thought there might be some kind of diagnostic software I could run that would capture the serial number of each component (NAND, eMMC, screen, etc) and the OS and firmware versions.
