Watching TV Shows

I mentioned in another thread that the third party TV show apps are under assault from slugs like HBO that refuse to make their own apps for Windows Phone. I use to use a DVR unit with Windows Media Center to record my shows, then transfer them to my phone. Microsoft has since dumped WMC. I moved on to great apps like TVseries, but as I stated, cry baby networks like NBC and HBO got those apps pulled. The few apps left, are mo the behind with episodes. So now I am looking for any other solution. Does anyone else still get their tv shows on their phone? If so, what method are you using?
