Hi all,

Recently I accidentally left my phone out in the rain. It got wet to the point where it wouldn't turn on for a while. The water damage tab (white strip) on the battery and the phone have both turned red, meaning that water definitely got into the phone's internals. Luckily for me, after a while of drying the phone out it turned on. At first the camera didn't work (there was condensation in the camera housing and lens) but now it does.

My question is, do you think the battery is damaged? It seems like battery drain is even worse now. I can barely get to the afternoon without charging it. Can water damage impact the battery and how it drains?

Thanks.

Anything could be damaged. It could be the battery, the stuff could be operating inefficiently after its bath, etc. Once water enters the equation, its a matter of luck.
