This is an excellent source, however it appears time has passed since the incident and you may not have waited long enough or dried it out sufficiently. Permanent damage may have occurred - and honestly I think its lucky that's all it broke. I had a friend with the LED flash of his iPhone stuck on after an aquatic incident.
