So I was using a co-worker's Galaxy S6 today and I noticed that while browsing the internet, the images were WAY sharper/more detailed compared to my Icon. At first I thought it was the site I was on but then I started testing side by side and there was a clear difference in quality. Has anyone ever noticed this?? For some reason this really bothered/disappointed me since the Icon has such great screen quality.

Pretty simple reason for this.

Galaxy S6 display: 1440 x 2560 pixels (~577 ppi pixel density)
Icon display: 1080 x 1920 pixels (~441 ppi pixel density)

The S6 came out over a year after the Icon. The higher quality display is to be expected.

So I compared my girlfriends Galaxy s4 and a iphone4 and the images still look sharper on those phones than on my Icon.
The images on NBC.com are slightly fuzzy on my Icon yet much sharper on the galaxy s4. Does this seem right?

Is there a setting that can improve this?

I noticed that the same images that show as low res on IE are much much better when using the UC Browser. The differences are are significant. I would rather be using IE but the quality of the images are so poor, I can't believe it.

Do you happen to have data sense set to compress web images?

I just turned it off and it made no difference. Here is an screenshot from NBC.com - looks low res on IE, however, when I pull it up on the UC Browser or on a Galaxy s4, it looks nice and crisp. Very frustrating.

anyone else noticing this?

It is data sense. The phone may need a restart to obey the new settings. Basically it is good to have turned on if you have limited mobile data. I don't know if Edge even has data sense.

I was hoping it was the data sense but I'm afraid its not. I confirmed it was off and then restarted the phone...images have the same quality.

With the latest build on the fast ring battery is as good as 8.1 was for me. Speed actually seems faster than 8.1. In fact, everything seems to work as expected. Haven't had any crashes since it was released.
