Weird issues

I've been having some weird issues:

Hitting send on a text message sometimes takes several seconds to respond.

Sometimes the keyboard responsiveness is slow.

When texting, sometimes the contact lookup after typing a few letters is slow to respond.

It's like the whole phone sporadically goes to a crawling speed.

Are you on an insider OS build, or recently made changes? It would be helpful to know your phone model and OS build no details, as well as what's been going on with the phone prior to getting the problem.

The only change has been I use and leave my Bluetooth on because I got a new car with hands free calling. I've heard a bad battery can cause issues. Mine was made Dec 2015. I may order a new one off of eBay.

I've had similar issues w my Lumia 950XL on Prod build.
I think I narrowed it down to email syncing, specifically large volume in TRASH folders syncing, which apparently takes some time.
I have 2 separate Inboxes:
Good email @ 3 email addresses.
Junk email @ 4 email addresses, which I use for online offers & some are Spam magnets, which have to be deleted, periodically.
I'd check that & appreciate a response.

put them on manual sync and see if that changes anything

More importantly check that your languages packs and their corresponding speech packs are correctly installed. It often happens that the speech pack associated with a language doesn't get installed automatically and this messes up Cortana and the keyboard.The phone's speech services keep looking for the speech pack every time the keyboard is launched/closed and thus slow things down.
