Weird Skydrive/Auto-upload folders issues...

Alright, let's hope I clearly explain this.

When I initially set my phone to auto-upload, it created a "Pictures" folder in my Skydrive folder. In the pictures folder was "Camera Roll", "Saved Pictures" and "Screenshots" and the corresponding picture type would upload to these folders. It mirrored my phone within this Pictures folder, same directory structure and everything.

Deeper in my Skydrive folder - I'm talking "Desktop\SkyDrive\_Photos-Videos\Dropbox\___Photos\_From XXX's Lumia 1020" - I have those exact same folders ("Camera Roll", "Saved Pictures, and "Screenshots") that I created. Initially nothing synced to these folders because they were ones I simply created with those names. I would, however, periodically move them from the "Camera Roll" in the synced folder to the "Camera Roll" folder I manually created deeper in my Skydrive folder.

NOW when my pictures auto-upload to Skydrive, only the "Saved Pictures" sync to the "Saved Pictures" folder like always

BUT...

The photos from my Camera Roll sync with the "Camera Roll" folder that I manually created deeper inside my Skydrive folder on my computer.

Why/how does it now split them up like that? I'd actually prefer if they all synced to the deeper folder, but I don't know how I got ONLY the Camera Roll folder to sync like that in the first place!!!

I hope that made sense. Any clue what's going on?

Because onedrive is designed that way, synced pictures from your phone will make same directory structure like in your phone. So, the picture from camera roll in your phone will go to onedrives's camera roll folder. You can't change that.

no...I get that part...

Since I turned it on the three folders - Camera Roll, Saved, and Screenshots were saved within their respective folders within one "Pictures" folder.

Now "Saved Pics" goes to the original "Saved Pics" folder as it always has, but "Camera Roll" pictures are going to an entirely different "Camera Roll" folder within an entirely different folder within skydrive.

I can suggest you a solution which may or may not work. First of all rename all the folders( camera roll, saved pictures etc.), and also rename pictures folder. And make back up of your photos from phone. Now, new folders will be created, named pictures--> saved pictures, camera roll etc. Now move all the pictures from previous camera roll folder which you renamed to new camera roll folder which is created automatically and do same for other folders also and delete the folders which you renamed.
