Well Looks Like Threshold is a dog release now...Wifi Hotspot Issues

So other than the fact that you could only use the mobile hotspot feature once, and any toggling of it would require a reboot. Now, my wifi won't turn on and neither with the mobile hotspot. When clicking on the buttons in the action center the immediately toggle back.

trying to turn on wifi just hangs with the scrolling dots

Any ideas?

I appreciate you are running a threshold build (not Redstone), but the troubleshooting suggestions are valid.

well, thats interesting. I wasn't on any fast/slow ring or anything, but I do recall having this problem. the wifi just won't turn on. in fact from what I remember, I was stuck in flightmode which I couldn't turn off. Turned out that the sim card/sim tray was not working or inserted correctly. after many attempts reinserting sim, it worked at the last minute a couple of minutes before I returned it back to the retailer. I was thinking its a dodgy sim connection - so had it replaced as I didn't want that to happen again. Not even a factory reset did fix it.

might be worth checking your sim - even though it may be unrelated to wifi, but worth checking out.

Hard Reset appears to have fixed it for now....used the reset feature in the settings...about...probably another 2 hour wait to re-download all the apps

yeah the phone OS still worked, but no mobile signal or wifi . even swapped out to a different sim on different network, nor doing a rom reflash as suggested by microsoft support was able to stop it going into flight mode (and this unable to switch on wifi). It was literally when I was about to pack it into box to sent it back it suddenly sprang to life and start working but I wasn't haven't any chances and did a swap for another 950xl.
