What are the advantages of the Lumia 1520 over the 929?

I keep contemplating on which one to get, so I really need to know what is better other than screen size.
At first, I didn't want the 1520 due to the screen size but I could probably put my differences aside on that perspective, it will still fit in my pants.

For what is worth, my main focus is the Quad-Core and thinner than my Lumia 810, which feels like a brick. I don't like it being that thick.

Screen size. AMOLED screen. Currently Verizon only. That's basically it.

The battery size on the 1520 is substantially larger than the 929's. The capacities are 3,400 mAh and 2,420mAh for the 1520 and 929, respectively.

Better looking IMHO but you are going to put a case on it anyway.

The microSD slot is the biggest I think. If the 929/Icon had it, I think it would be nearly the perfect phone for size and features.

Wow! The 1520 is slimmer than the 929, definitely a plus. Either one was better than my 810's brick thickness.
Longer last battery than the 929, nice nice.
Definitely getting it.
I don't need more than what is built-in the device, regarding phone space capacity, so I am set.

Thank you guys for the help.

Well, 929 has Corning Gorilla Glass 3, I could hardly get my 810 scratched, so it might not be a worry.

The 1520 also has Qi charging, just get an international version (and get a 64Gb version while you are at it)

Meh, I want to go to the store and buy it personally, unless there is a store nearby that sells that particular version, I would drive there. If it is in the Gulf of Mexico, I will get on my jet-ski.

Icon doesn't have glance screen
I like the Glance Screen, but the way it works(When I double-tap it doesn't respond many times, plus there was a video of someone showing the Glance Screen while struggling with the double-tap to get it to work) I won't miss it. Good pointing that out, though.

The 1520 has the screen sensitivity issue which may or may not get fixed in the future. Hopefully they do and it also fixes the double-tap to wake. It only works about a third of the time for me and it is very annoying when it doesn't work.

I didn't know there was a 64 GB 1520 variant. Do you have a link?

The international version is a no go because it doesn't have the American LTE bands... and you have to pay full price for the thing on top of paying full price for your contract. No way I am giving up LTE and paying an extra $500+ just to get Qi charging. Qi charging is nice... but not that nice.

I hear you, Citizen X.
I hardly fill up my 8GB on my Lumia 810, and most of the filler is games that I hardly even touch, not the reason I got the phone for anyways.
I do have 1Gig of music, but that's all that matters to me the most.
16GB is the minimum for the 1520, so I would get that.
Also, I don't mind the LTE, most of my connection is fine and is standard 4G.
I can also look the other way for the Qi Charging, I understand why it is a big deal, but I am not amused.
We are all different.
Once again, thank you guys for the all the information.

The 64GB is one of the International version. I have the 32GB one, I don't have any problems with mine.

I have a Lumia 810, only T-Mobile of course.
Question: Could I keep my phone number when switching to AT&T?
Man, I heard about the 1520 mini, now I feel like waiting again.
Decisions decisions.
