I thought about getting one and after the presentation, I thought everything is perfect but then I saw the size and was very sad about it. Have you had prolems with the size?

Is it too small or too big ?

I'm currently using a Lumia 1520 & it's right sized for me.
If anyone doubted the popularity of larger smartphones - look at the iPhone6+ pre-orders.

Conceptually, it sounds perfect.

I have never held this phone, but I owned a Lumia Icon which was very similar in many regards The Icon didn't necessarily feel thick to me, but thinner would make it a lot easier to use the swipe keyboarding.

I have a 820 and i was waiting the next 8 series upgrade since my 820 sucks with batery.I think is a mistake to make a 5'' phone from the 4.3'' it was.
For me is a buster and i think i will not go to the 830.But first i will have to hold and see the phone to tell you for sure.
8 series is for a 4.3-4.5'' phones with good specs and a nice camera.Ms should not make series and then change everything to them, they will confuse and meshed up everything.

Sorry for my english.

The dimensions of this device are almost exactly the same as the Lumia 925, but the device is longer.

I was hoping the it would be about the same size as an 822. I'll have to check one out and see how it feels. Phones are getting to damn big. The L520 is a good form factor for me. My 822 is about as big as I want to go but I'm intrigued by the 830 and will have to play with one before I decide.

I have to see and hold it first. Ideally I prefer the same size as my 820 but 830 is thinner and lighter. Also I don't really like the squarish edge and the use of nano sim. I like micro sim because sometimes I may put the sim card into other phone. I know I can use an adapter but it is such a hassle.

830 has the perfect size. Its thinner & lighter. It would fit perfectly in most of the hands(because my 1320 doesn't)

Believe me its perfect. It is not weider than the Lumia 920 and a lot thinner. I think it is easier to use than the Lumia 920.
Your life, your choice.

Now that I own this, I have to say it feels really nice.

It pretty much feels like the Icon... but thinner.

It's just too tall. Taller than the 920 and the 930. The same design in a smaller form with a 4.3 or 4.5" screen wouldn't been great but they caved in to the supersized phone fad.
