What does a device reset do?

Title says it all really.

Just what does a device reset do? Will it remove GDR3 developer preview? If not, why not? Surely, a device (factory) reset returns the device to its state when originally delivered.

Just wondering...don't actually want to do it :smile:

I don't think it will remove the preview since it doesn't remove other updates like gdr2, but I'm not sure
