What is Facebook Blue?

Will it be a new Facebook App developed by Facebook? Or will it be the current beta recompiled with wp8.1 features. I hope it's the former. I'd be extremely happy if wp8.1 had a halfway decent facebook app.

If the rumors are to be believed, WP8.1 will not have Facebook Integration instead it will be provided by a Facebook App (Codenamed "Facebook Blue") so that there is no repetition of feature after installing the app. The current app for WP8.0 is mutually developed by Microsoft and Facebook, I think it'll remain the same for WP8.1.
