Since Microsoft withdrew native support for DVD playback ages ago, I've been stuck with a plethora of alternatives. However, the ones that seem to offer the best functionality are plagued with unmodern or unintuitive interfaces.

And Microsoft's Windows DVD Player is no better (why does it have a solid white DVD controls bar that blocks out anything underneath?):

Does anyone know of any current DVD player apps for Windows that have modern, intuitive interfaces (and are preferably free)? Thanks.
