Best way to restore a backup on a new phone with Dev Preview

So my wife just upgraded her 822 to a 928, and I was helping her get everything set back up for the developer preview. The only problem is that it doesn't seem to have restored correctly... Is there a method for quickly forcing a restore that I just seemed to have missed?

If you backed up running dp then Install dp, hard reset and restore back up from old phone then rename on PC using desktop app.
