what SB models comes with or without GPU?

I am about to purchase a surface book but I am slightly confused on which models have a dedicated nVidia Geforce card and what doesn't. I am getting an i5 version with 256gb hd/8gb ram (model number SX3-00002 to be precise).

The way I am reading the net is that i7 definitely has a dedicated graphic card, but SOME i5 does and some don't!

So my question is.... what model numbers have dedicated graphic card and what doesn't? Does the SX3-00002 have one? Or am I mistaken that all i5 Surface books have a dedicated graphic card?

i5 series suface book has nVidia GeForce adapter ( 1gb) .

this should apply to every SB with i5.

Some I5 series do and some don't. If it says dGPU in the description then it does. See here. Looks like the model you are looking at does.

Link Broken? As for "dGPU" in the description - its on ebay, so it doesn't have that info. it does say "integrated graphic" which I am sure is incorrect for that model (SX3-00002) according to JohnLewis website of the same model.

this should apply to every SB with i5.

That review is one of the reason why I am getting the "some models do and some don't" thoughts- everywhere in that article says "Nvidia graphics is optional so must imply that some i5 does and some don't as there is no i3 SB" etc). Which is why I am not 100% sure if the i5 I am getting contains that dedicated graphic or not.

you can always check with the vendor before buying whether it has a dedicated graphics card. What i have noticed is usually the one without dedicated graphics are cheaper than the one with dedicated. dont get confused by model numbers , but focus more on the specifications.
