what to do with sercurity info change still on pending

is there any way to end the 30days security change info? a couple of weeks ago i tried to change my phone number for mobile security veficiacation on my microsoft account because i changed my phone number.. i tried first to change my alternate email address before my phone number but after changing my email address i received this security pending message and because of that i cannot changed my phone number. so i tried to cancel the request but it keep on asking what is the code that was sent on my old phone number, i cant supply the code because i dont have the sim anymore for my old phone number.. plealse help me out! i am the real owner of this phone why microsoft wont allow me to change it!!!
