So when WP8 came out. People mentioned that Microsoft had just self-cannibalized WP7 by announcing WP8 too early without releasing any product. Many articles referred to an effect that happened when a company that made computers had announced a second model 1 year before it was going to come out and completely bankrupted their company. Anyone know what this effect is called? I can't find it after constant googling. Please help me and thanks in advance!
