Starting a manual backup of apps and settings solved it.
I saw the facebook messenger tile greyed out as well during the process. So they both use OneDrive backup.
I hope they solve this 'hanging' quick for less experienced users.

Is it just me or is WhatsApp support handled by trained birds?

I simply asked them if WhatsApp backs up to OneDrive, which is a simple "yes or no" question. It took them 11 days to come up with a non-automated reply, and then finally this was the result:

You can't find them. It's saved inside the app. The best way to save the voice messages is to forward this to a friend that has Android phone and save it somehow.

currently, there is no news, they just updated beta after two weeks and a week has passed since the last beta update with v610. At normal development pace, we would be talking about v624-630s. it is unbeleivable how they keep updating symbian version with v860. They should focus more on windows phone.

Am I the only one? WhatsApp just stopped working. And now I can't even start it. The tile in my homescreen is greyed out and tapping out in the app list won't do anything..

Its backing up to onedrive. Keep data/wifi on . it will finish in a few mins
