Whatsapp not installing

Hi Everyone...

I just bought new Nokia lumia 925 for my brother as his birthday gift. Tried to check if everything is working fine before giving it to him. He is big time whatsapp user and thats the first app i check since there is too many fuss about whatsapp not working in Windows phone..

ANd that fuss came true.. When i installed whatsapp, it goes to favorites page and says its loading favorites. 10 min, 10 min and 1 hr it never came back. Anytime i open the whatsapp it says, "loading favorites" . Never knew whatsapp is so bad in Windows phones.

Has anyone come across similar issue. I really want to gift this great phone to my brother. Except whatsapp everything is good. If this is not fixed, i will be forced to buy Samsung which my bro already has it

Whatsapp is down globally. Calm down and play a game or something in the meantime.

There was some server issues for around 2hrs+ earlier, see if it works now. If not, try uninstalling/reinstalling WhatsApp.
