WhatsApp suspended in wp8.1

Hey guys...i own a Lumia 640 with wp8.1. Lately WhatsApp is not closing on pressing the back button. It remained suspended in task manager. Is it because of the new update our something wrong?

You could try uninstalling it. **backup your chats first** then soft reset your phone (Vol down and power together until vibrate on) install WhatsApp again and see does this help. Also make sure you don't have it to run in the background in battery saver.

It is due to the updated version of WhatsApp on February 1

If you have installed it to SD try and install it on the phones internal memory.

Nothing is wrong. WhatsApp has been updated recently to work the way apps are supposed to work on wp8.1

I got the update before I put wp10 on my phone and I had no issues with it.

Yes. This allows the apps to resume quickly.

Nope. The apps are tomb stoned, they remain suspended in the background. You have to kill them from app switcher to remove them from the suspended state.
