Whatsapp video download issue on Lumia 640XL

So,here's the thing. If i'm receiving video file,let's say bigger than 20mb,i can't open it,it just keeps downloading forever. Also,does anyone else have problems with message alerts? Because i can't hear any alerts when i recieve message.

if the downloads are getting stuck on edge, try using a different browser like UC browser
For message alerts : go to settings > privacy > background apps and make sure messaging is enabled to run in background. Additionally, go to settings > system > notifications : check that messaging has notifications on

I forgot to mention that it is whatsapp downloads,videos from whatsapp. And settings are fine for messaging

It's 10.0.10586.318 Lumia 640xl not sure if it's insider and i don't know about ring either

I forgot to mention that it is whatsapp downloads,videos from whatsapp. And settings are fine for messaging

you checked all the way into notifications and alerts? Maybe it has no ringtone set for message alerts

I've seen that "download forever" happen on WhatsApp all the time. You'll see the video almost download except the last 1% it seems to get stuck for long. It eventually does download but take slightly longer.

I've never seen that, though in my defence, I don't seem to get so many videos

As i said,all settings for messaging are fine. Whatsapp thing happens only when i'm recieving bigger videos,it's all good with short videos.
