I had a major phone update this morning, and I just got it to work! QR reader found it first time, and I am finally running WhatsApp on my PC

The WhatsApp web issue is finally solved! However, I'm still not sure whether it was a WhatsApp issue or an Alcatel issue, since both had updates before the issue was resolved.
