Where did this visual voicemail come from & how do i get rid of it?

A few days ago when tapping on the phone icon to check email, it goes to a screen asking for my visual voicemail password. I never HEARD of visual voicemail, don't want it and can't find out how to get rid of this. As far as I know I don't even have a password on my voicemail even though it asks for one when I call from my phone. I think I need to get rid of this phone but afraid I'll get something worse. This is a replacement one from ATT because the original phone just stopped responding about a month ago.

Visual voicemail is an easier way to check voicemail, without having to call a number. You need to press that voicemail button to get the password, then it's all good. If you REALLY don't like visual voicemail, go to the settings in the Phone app, and you can turn it off.
