Where has my Hotmail account gone?

This morning my windows phone was working fine, but earlier today I went to watch a performance and turned my phone off. When I turned it back on afterwards, my Microsoft account tile had disappeared along with my messages and contacts. I've tried to set up the account again from the "Add an account" section, but every time I try and press Microsoft Account the screen simply flashes and doesn't change. Is there anything I can do?
