Where is the secret volume control for alarm?

[Windows Central Question]

When I make a new alarm on my phone I pick the ringtone that I want and when I select it I turn the volume right down to 1.
I also turn the phone volume down to 1

But when the alarm goes off in the morning it is so loud it makes me jump.

Is there a secret volume control for the alarm?

Not sure what phone you have but press a volume button and one of the volume controls pops up, there should be a small down arrow above it, press that and another option should come into view, give that a try.

Adjust the "Media +Apps" Slider in volume control.

I have a950XL

Never noticed the little down arrow.

Have both on 1 and the alarm is still very loud when it goes off.
