Where's the JSON text editor in VS2013 ?

According to this article, Visual Studio 2013 now features a new text editor for JSON file, but on my WP project I don't even see any option to create json file or even see any syntax highlighting in the json file.

I'm running VS 2013 Professional 2013 Update 3.

I think this json template is only for web projects. You can still include a json file and work with it in WP project but in a more "oldschool" way, like drag and drop a new json file into your project, or by creating a new txt file inside your project and renaming it to json
