I'm looking to buy this phone and I've seen a few networks that look like they match but I need some verification so I don't make a bad/the wrong purchase. I live near Vancouver if that matters.

There are different models of the Lumia 1520 that work with different network bands. You could probably find a Lumia 1520 model that's compatible with most if not all of the bands you need them to, it's just a trick of finding the correct variant. Unfortunately, the Lumia 1520 doesn't have a universal GSM radio (very few phones do) like we're hoping Microsoft is going to do with the Lumia 950/XL so you'll have to find the variant that fits your needs best.
