Hey guys, my SBI debit card doesn't work for the purchases in either Windows store. So I'm thinking of opening a new account in bank whose debit card will let me buy apps for WP and my W8.1 as well. I'm a student so can't get a credit card yet. Also, I'd like to sign up for students developer account, so I need a debit card which works with these 3 things. Also, besides my 920 I own a Xperia U. So I'd like to know whether the same card would work with Google Play also..

I know of one thread here with the same question.. I've checked it. But it doesn't give me accurate answer. I want to hear from actual users.. Please help

Guys.. It's urgent. Please help me. I'm having problems opening account in HDFC bank. So, any other bank??

Yes it should work because Axis Bank provides an International VISA Debit Card. I have used my Axis Bank card to buy apps from both Windows store and Android play store.

Any bank that offers a VISA or Master Internal debit card should work with the WP store. SBI debit card is a maestro card and that is the reason it doesn't work.
HDFC, ICICI, Axis, Citi are the top Indian banks that offer VISA or Master Internal debit card.

SBI cards are waste. (Frustrated)

This is a big problem in India. I think any SBI card won't support international payments and can't be linked to Paypal. I have wasted a lot of time with SBI cards. SBI branch officers have no idea about foreign payments and they will tell you to contact customer care and If you contact customer care, they will tell you to contact the branch. It is best idea to open an account in any other bank. SBI is going to loose many customers because of this drawback. ICICI bank and HDFC bank debit cards will support international payments. But if you want to open account in ICICI and HDFC bank, opening balance should be 11k INR and you should maintain an average balance of 10k INR in a month. CITI bank account opening balance requirement is toooooooo high for a student. I heard that South Indian Bank debit cards support Paypal and foreign payments.
