Which is better on a mid-end: Lumia 830 or 640.

Hello, im looking a phone to replace my 520 and the following is what i'm looking in it.

- Front Facing and Main Camera with at least 8 megapixels in main cam. With Flash.
- 1 GB of ram
- HD Screen better than my 520. Good at outdoors.
- Screen size not bigger than 5'.
- Thinner and pocket comfortable.
- Glance Screen.
- Expandable SD Card slot.
- Battery removable.
- A phone not older than june 2014.
- A price between $200-$280.
- With spects nearly or close to high-end phones.

On top of everything a phone that even in 2+ years will still great and not too behind in technology.

I'm very convince on get the 830 but still debating which one is better. Not really looking a phone that is all high end tech, just something good i may not regret, cause once i get it there is no turning back.

I've been very satisfied with my 830. It's unlocked and gets LTE on AT&T, but that depends on your location. While the 640 is newer, I'm still more inclined towards the 830.

They have so much in common. Get whatever you prefer, looks wise.

The 640 has a slightly larger battery. 830 probably has a better camera.

I'm on AT&T and LTE is not a big Issue but 4G it is important. So this phone does come with LTE?. That's good, and yes i live in Virginia USA.

I'd get the 830 since its got more features (like wireless charging) and a nicer camera.
I know the 830 has LTE, but I don't know about the 640 off the top of my head, I would think so though.

and when my 920's LTE worked (I broke it), I would get it where I lived in northern VA/metro DC area.

I bought mine on Amazon. It's the unlocked RM-985. I'm using it in south Texas with AT&T with LTE. I've seen it on sale for about 280 with free shipping.

830 .. Probably has better main camera, however FFC is kinda poor. Being smaller, its easier to handle c/w wireless charging puts it ahead of the 640/XL...

Yeah, FFC isn't that great, but the Lumia Selfie app takes the pic automatically with the rear camera with a kind of weird sound effect, making it easier for my gf to take selfies with it. Helps a lot... if you're into selfies of course
