Who is the best lumia 830 or lumia 1520

The 1520 is still the premium Lumia phone. The 830 is a pale comparison.

The 1520 is too big for me but I'm willing to acknowledge that it's the best Lumia phone.

The Lumia 830 has a slightly lower processor, but newer as well.

The Lumia 1520 has a better camera.

Basically, if you like big phones, then 1520. If not, then the 830 might do some good. It's all preference

Specs wise....lumia 1520 vs 930 would be a better comparison...but 830 will definately wont be able to provide the premium quality of 1520. Although 830 is an affordable flagship....the beast 1520 is a premium flagship and is also a matter of choice because some users and not too comfortable with big screens and some aren't comfortable with small screens...

Specs? 1520 in every field
Usability? That's the tricky part. The 1520 is larger with a larger screen, which has its pros and cons. Double the RAM and Storage also has its pros.

Both are great phones, so pick the one that's best for you. If you asked for the 930 vs 830, then we'd be having a different conversation. But this is an easy one: Larger device 1520. Smaller 830.

I went for the 1520 for the ram, storage, screen size and resolution, camera and battery.

You should consider the 930 as well since that has the power of the 1520, the convenient size of the 830 and the excellent amoled display which is even better than the amoled on the 820.

The 820 is a faster phone than the 830 and, side by side, the speed experience of using WP on the 930 compared to the 820 is way better. Much smoother and more responsive. So the 830 will be even worse by comparison. After 4 core 800 series, you won't be able to go back.

Don't play much games? The 830 would be better. Want a WP phablet? The 1520 is the best one can get. Want one based on just specs? The 1520 is better.

In real life usage, both are similar. It really comes down to screen size.

For me, the Nokia 1520 is the best windows device you can get. If you can get it, don't think twice. Everything about this phone is awesome beside the touch bug!

Some thoughts:
-L1520 has spec superiority.
-L830 has a better camera for low light shots. Gorilla Glass 3 vs 2 [?]
-I question buying an L830 with a new flagship due in September.
-While the SD 810 has limitations it is capable of blowing away current spec monsters.
-My Lumia 1520 is a great phone. I'm even starting to get used to the size of it.

1520 is too big for an smart phone for me an have this big swipe-click-issue otherwise it's great ... batery life, display...
I prefer defenitly 930

Thanks for your advices about my problem. I chose Lumia 830 because this is handy as compared to Lumia 1520. Lumia 830 has better camera quality and great battery life, and from my side Lumia 830 is best smartphone.

I can't understand this over-comparison between a flagship and a mid-ranger.
If you are comparing 1520 to sth, it must be 930 not 830.
830 has nothing to do vs 1520.
If you care about having much more battery life, having a bigger screen, having Glance, having micro SD slot, having IPS display, and less thickness, less heating up and less factory defects, go for 1520.
But if you prefer smaller size, AMOLED display, less weight, Gorilla glass 3 ( better protection ), go for 930.
And if you want to save more money, which I don't really recommend, go for 830.
