Which one should I get? Nokia Lumia 920 or 925...

I actually prefer the weight and feel of 920. It feels really solid and actually looks better too than 925. The problem with 925 is too light, and feels cheaper when you hold it because the metal-plastic combination.

If you want to get one, just make sure you try the gps, because my 920's gps really sucks.

All that plus it should be A LOT cheaper now.

From what it seems like, the 925 is the way to go as I was planning. I can't wait to get my hands on it :D oh and btw, all of you are an amazing help. Thanks!!!

UPDATE: I just ordered it and I discovered that it will arrive on the 15th or earlier. If that's the case, I will have to wait 1 extra day to install 8.1 lol. I can always install 8.1 on my Lumia 810 through dev preview if I have to haha :P

You could not have gone wrong with either phone. I had a 920 before I got my 1520 and I loved it. I'm not a fan of amoled screens and the built-in Qi charging and extra 16GB of storage just made the 920 so much better.

Just out of curiosity, why couldn't you have waited for the new devices to come out in a few months?

All this talk about burn-in... I've have my Ativ S for a year and a half, and I've never had even momentary cause for concern regarding screen burn-in. I don't know, maybe there's some difference with the screen tech Samsung uses that prevents it from happening...

I too came from an 810, then went to a 920 and then got a 925 in late February. Honestly, I love both the 920 and 925. Seems like I'm finally getting used to the much lighter weight of the 925, lol. I mainly got the 925 for the Wi-Fi calling, and the cheap price was too good to pass up.

925 for sharper daylight images. It had a six element lens as opposed to 5 on the 920.

Because I have no idea what's in store for t-mobile regarding upcoming windows phones. I heard the Lumia 930 is coming to t-mobile but it doesn't quite grab my attention. As far as I know, there aren't many choices for t-mobile regarding windows phone. Although, I could get any windows phone unlocked, but it's more expensive...

The 925 really is an all-round phone :) Just between you and me i would go for the unlocked :P but that's cuz i keep my phones for 3 years minimum

I just got the Lumia 925. Very nice phone. I also picked up a case that's like an otter case as I like the added weight and thickness as well as the protection.

While I am enjoying the phone itself, I am still getting used to the OS. Really surprised at how many features are lacking and I'm glad that 8.1 is coming out real soon. If it weren't, I probably wouldn't keep the phone, but, from what I've seen in a few videos, 8.1 should address most of my issues, so definitely can't wait to check it out.

The phone itself is very nice looking. I recommend it.

I appreciate your advice :) Thanks!

Omg! My lumia 925 was expected to arrive on Wednesday, but for some odd reason, UPS likes to mess with my head!!! According to the tracking number, it will be in my hands tomorrow!!!! YESSSSSS :D Now I'll be able to install wp8.1 on it next week!!! :)

Lumia 925 is slimmer, lighter and has a metallic body :D and slightly smaller (a matter of mm) and has 16GB storage, the screen size (4.5 inch) is the same, AMOLED display. 925's camera might be better because of the additional lens
920 is fat (not ugly, you can call it chubby) and big but has 32 GB storage and the rest is pretty much the same :)
P.S :- 920 heats up pretty fast...I don't know about the 925 though :)
I'll never call the 920 fat (I have one myself), and it doesn't heat up much either. Black on the 920's screen is so dark you won't notice the bezel unless in very dark place. Also that extra lens brings no benefit.

I have owned a 920 and 925, for me 925 is the better device. I think the 920 (white) was gorgeous, beats my 925 on looks, but I am so glad to have a lighter, slimmer phone. I keep mine in an inexpensive plastic partial hardcase (Head case, found them on ebay) and that has worked very well for me to keep the phone less bulky and lighter.

Wireless charging just added weight to the 920 and I found it to be an over-rated feature (for me, just speaking for me!). I got a wireless charging case for my 925 but I only use it occasionally on a bluetooth speaker that has a charging pad, really don't miss that at all. I was worried about less storage but in a year of use, so far, so good, although I don't keep a lot of music on my phone, just podcasts and books that come and go.

Oh! And in my experience, the 925 camera is somewhat better than the 920.

I don't feel the need to upgrade any time soon, love my 925.

Well, I had 920 now I have 925.
I wouldn't go back for sure.
I love this camera and the aluminum body.
But it's all opinions.
If the extra 16Gb will make the difference go 920, but u'll be loosing better camera, better battery and lighter and prettier phone :-)

Pretty much what I was going to say. I have a 925 in house but I don't use it because I need more space than it has. So I stick with my 920 until something like the ICON comes to AT&T.

Maybe because I have unlimited internet plan I use OneDrive mostly.
So internal storage for me it's like for a few games, apps and music. Plenty left still.

I have a similar choice, coming from an Iphone 4S 32GB, I can get either the Nokia 920 or 925, it needs to be on O2, so the special Vodafone edition 925 with 32GB is out of the question, I pretty much filled the 32GB on the 4s with music/apps, not bothered about apps on my windows phone as i have an ipad mini, not a fan of amoled screens having owned some samsung androids in the past, so very confused as to which one to go for. like the weight of the 925, prefer the looks of the 920, like the LCD on the 920, but the contrast on the 925 is fantastic, 16GB might be OK, but probably will run out quickly, so the 920's 32GB as standard is perfect...arghhh

I just picked up the 925 and like it quite a bit. I originally bought a 920 when they first came out and I ended up swapping it for a HTC 8X. I just couldn't handle the bulk of the 920 and I always put my phones in my pocket. The 925 IMHO is the phone they should have built to begin with, the dimension and tapering differences make a big difference. I don't really need much storage space so 16GB is fine for me.

I am ATT but went and felt the Icon and didn't like it. The screen is great but it's a brick just like the 920, not a phone I want.

Before one week I had the same dilemma(for my first wp), 920 or 925. But at the end I went with the 920 and I love it. Yes ok the 925 have metal case one lens more, it's thinner and lighter but at the other side the 920 for me fells better in the hand, have ips display(for me better than the amoled), 32gb internal storage almost the same camera, wireless charging(I don't use cables any more because I have a Nexus 5 too) and of course it looks like a proper lumia phone.....

Sadly it doesn't seem like T-Mobile will be getting a new flagship like device. The L925 is the best windows phone on Tmobile and likely will be for quite a while.

Yup! When the rep at my store tried to talk me into their Jump program, I had to ask him if he thought I was a complete *****. I can't imagine a stupider program for a WP user on Tmo!
