Which size....

I have a large MS Band 1 and have it almost on the tightest setting. Will a large in the new second gem be suitable?

I have a wrist just under 21cm and according to the size chart suggests a large, however I though I read posts that suggest the contrary and that I should go to a medium.

Band 2's run larger than 1s, so if you had a large before go with large now...

My medium Band 1 was 3 clicks fromfully tight and Band 2 is 1 maybe 2 clicks

I wore the Band1L as tight as possible and it was perfect.
I bought the Band2L and it's too loose, even at the tightest it slips over my wrist bones and is annoying... which could be because of the bigger size or the different shape.
Either way, i returned it for a Band2M and wear it 3 clicks from tightest. Glad I exchanged it.

I also had a Band 1 in large and it was very tight, same as the OP. I simply thought Band 2 large would be the same but it is a little too loose for me. I literally only just got it and cannot return it as it was sent to me from one very kind forum member here.

Any suggestions on any way I can make it a little tighter?

I feel like these band is too big. I love the design of it but the magnetic part looks huge!

I had Band1 large and wear it three clicks from the tightest. I just got Band2 large and will have to return it. It is way looser than Band1.
