Picked mine up today ay the Microsoft store for ATT. Got a choice of case and Microsoft complete for an additional $50. Love this thing perfect size and fit... Similar to how motto x feels
How does it compare to the Lumia 521? I imagine it is faster and the lte makes it worth it. How is the camera? I gotta agree the low end Lumia phones run so freaking awesome compared to the low end Android phones. I wanted to destroy my old Prism II so slow keyboard kept disappearing on me. My only gripe is every now and then my 521 reboots on its own
I am, as a temporary while waiting for MacLaren or now that it has been cancelled, for whatever comes next. Last year my HTC8x broke so I picked up a Lumia 520 and liked it even better than the HTC. Disappointed that the 635 still only has 512k ram (and no flash or better camera) but I do want a slightly bigger screen and I'm hoping that the newer processor will make it a bit speedier in the places where the 520 occasionally lags. If not, no big deal given the price.
Ordered mine express mail last night. I wasn't planning on getting a 635 but I dropped my 520 on a sidewalk and now half the screen doesn't work. I was going to wait for the 730 or 830 but that went out the window but at least I picked it up for $99 on Amazon.
I have a 520, had a 626 and just got a 635. Clear black does makes a world of difference. The build quality seems better than the 625 too. More solid if it makes sense. The lack of a front camera isn't that huge a deal but I would have love to have an LED flash. Not gor taking photos at night, but to use a makeshift flashlight. Performance feels similar to me.
Got one ordered up last night from the Microsoft store, $41.78 shipped. Love these windows phone prices! Update: ok so it's Friday afternoon, and i have to go to work. UPS where are you?
I'm a proud owner of the Lumia 635 device. Very good price-quality ratio smartphone. The screen is big enough though lack's of ppi but, as I said, price-quality ratio is good. My only worry is that the denim update is yet to come in my country (Orange-Romania). Bottom-line: The phone is cheap, lacks of some sensors and flash, decent camera, but great in every day usage.
I couldn't resist grabbing unlocked one from Microsoft store for $99. Every now and then they do have promotion deals on it. Now it's back to $179. Thought they include one extra back cover by default, but no.
I picked one of these up just over a week ago and I actually really like it. yes, its missing some bells and whistles, and some of the apps I used on my htc one, but I really like the windows OS and this phone in general. for the price I don't thing you can beat it.
Got my wife one for Christmas. Upgraded from 521. Really nice phone. Slightly bigger than 521 and display is much clearer and crisp. She really like is.
I've got a Nokia Lumina 635! And I'm very impressed with it. Another joiner on the Walmart Family plan, which as I understand it is powered by T-Mobile.
For a 'budget' device the phone does pretty much everything I need and does it well. I don't care so much about a front-facing camera, but I suppose a better main camera and a flash would be nice...perhaps in the future I might move up to a higher-numbered Lumia, if this entry-level model is a good barometer of what I can expect from these phones.
This phone, bought from Walmart, doesn't have any branding on it except for the Nokia badges. I'm not sure how to find out whether or not the phone is locked.
Just got one from Movistar in Ecuador free of charge after renewal of contract... I was curious about Windows Phone and liked the hardware but now that I have had it for a couple of weeks I am very impressed on how well the phone works. It does lacks some hardware goodies but for a normal day use and some browsing and games I think I'm keeping it (used to have an Xperia and some other android devices and all of them at some point hanged or needed to restart, I like iPhones but hate depending on iTunes and Blackberry is not keeping up).
Some apps like feedly are also needed but I found some nice replacements. Overall great phone for the low price.
I have the AT&T version in black (unlocked of course) and a white T-Mobile one which will promptly be unlocked. The advantage of having three lines is 6 unlock requests from T-Mobile per year...
It's really hard to beat when you compare quality and performance of the 635 vs other devices in that price range. I think they chose wisely in what trade offs to make to keep the cost down but still make it a nice phone to use. So many of the budget minded phones cram a ton of mediocre hardware features in so it can do everything, but it costs in the user experience. I really enjoy using the 635. It's a fun little phone.
