Ok, I've watched a few unboxings in my time. Some have been great, others have been a real let down.

I can't afford a Surface RT right now but I can sense the excitement of others who have pre-ordered.

Is there an 'unboxing' guru out there that I should be looking up on YouTube to get the best virtual 'unboxing' experience?

Anyone can remove a device from the packaging and hold it up like a model from a game show. But for reviews of the actual product, I'm thinking Rubino and Ponder on this site and Aaron on Technocove.com.

I guess where I'm coming from is that this is not simply a device.

Especially for my generation who grew up as MS grew up. This is the first computer they have ever given us, it's like the moment when they touch tails in Avatar. Or like reuniting with a long lost friend. Microsoft is visiting you, at your house, in a package, ready to say 'hello world' for the first time. Somebody has to be thoroughly documenting this moment, and I just want to know which filmmaker would capture it the best.

There are a lot of good unboxers out there, probably many with review units (so we should see unboxings/reviews Wed or Thurs).

That being said, some of the best unboxings I've seen are just regular fans. I will be doing a video on Friday when I get mine.

Whoa, that's a pretty big emotional investment you've got going there.
