Getting bubbles/Circles in photos in night/dark conditions from my 1020 in auto mode.

Although if I manually change ISO levels, brightness and shutter speed I get good images but in auto mode it just sucks.

There has been a thread about this in WindowsCentral, as well as in other photography sites. Those circles are caused by dust particles reflecting the light back to your camera, and they usually happen when a Xenon flash is used. The circles appear "enlarged" because they are out-of-focus.

Reference 2 - no, those are not spirits orbs

Hi.
It does not matter if you use Auto or Manual settings. It is a natural thing, it happens only with Xenon flash. Try shooting without flash
