Duplicate Email Notifications

I'm using Type Mail on an Android Phone and I get duplicate email notifications on my Band, which is getting annoying.

I get one with the sender, subject and part message and a second later get one with just the sender and subject line.

I thought maybe two apps were sending notifications but I have found that it's just the Type Mail app. If I turn off notifications for that app I get no notifications and when I enable it I start getting two again.

Anyone else having this problem, either with Type or another email app? Any solutions?

I am having the same issue but haven't been able to resolve this. Does anyone have a solution to this?

I'm having the same issue.
What's happening is that the notification tile picks up all of the notifications going to the notification center which includes mail.
Mail tile just picks up notifications for mail. Thus duplication.
You can turn off notification center notifications for just mail from the phones settings.
The trade off is that now you will not see the mail notification in the notification center on the phone.
So if for example the notification doesn't make it to the band, basically you will miss that email notification.

You can adjust what notifications get sent to the Band in MS Health. Go to the tile and hit the edit icon.

i have the same problem. i get a lot of old notifications multiple times.

the most annoying thing is, that it seems as if microsoft gives a damn about their band first time users. we bought the band knowing, that this is a product in alpha stage. but i myself thought, that we would get a mass of updates and new features. - but nothing (very, very little).

very poor! i ordered the band 2 but still think, that ms should support and honor the early adaptors. just my 2c...

Hi, I have the same problem. I get some news notifications 10 or 20 times, even news from yesterday or the days before. Thats realy very frustrating. Sometimes I get more then 50 (old) notifications in 1h.

Edit: I'm using it under iOS 9
