Why am I getting sound from one side of my headphones on SP3?

Only getting sound from one side of headphone on SP3

Ive tried different sets of headphones on my new surface pro 3 and when i plug in a pair of headphones i only get sound out of the left side of my headphones. anyone else having the same problem?

I have seen this with other headphones, I believe if you use an Apple/HTC compatible headphones it should work 100% with the SP3 just fine. I would try another pair
