Why are my Outlook 2016 e-mails being delayed?

Windows Central Question

I am on Windows 8.1. I just upgraded my Office package from Personal to Home. Since I did that, Outlook is delaying showing my e-mails when I sync. I can look at my tablet and the e-mails are there on my old Outlook, but on my laptop they don't show up until sometimes the next day.

Please advise.
