Windows Central Question

microsoft acounts crap

What the hell is with your accounts?
I'm logged in W8 (laptop) with office 365 microsoft account.
i'm logged in Office - desktop - with the same account.
I have my onenote and onedrive synchronized based this account.
All the setting on this lapton are about 4 days old.
No other microsoft account used on this laptop.

And today onenote was note able to synch because he was not recognising my account. He gave me an link to a microsoft live page where my acount was not recognised.
After a restart it succeeded - but onedrive is manifesting the same issues: account not recognised.
Now the system it's announcing me that i need to re-enter my last known password (in accounts section) and he i not recognised it - althoung if i'm logging on office365 the SAME PASSWORD IT'S OK!

Congrats microsoft - you are downgrading the quality on your services by day!
The 'microsoft' account are in fact two distinct groups: live and 365 and are you switching devices authentication back and forth between those groups?

Windows Central Question

why so lame microsoft account amangement

you are allowing setting a windows (8) account based on office365 account.
you are allowing setting an office services authentication based on same office365 account.

but after a while, a office component (onenote), on her own, decide to do authentication check versus live account instead office 356 account.
after a restart onenote it's settle down but onedrive it's doing the same thing.
and why not, now the windows itself it's doing that.

you chumps are naming microsoft account two DISTINCT things: office356 and live accounts. and you are not tracking which is which.
so you are accepting the first setting based on one but after a while you verify authentication vs the another one.
am i right - are you that stupid?

Re: microsoft acounts crap

Not sure what you're hoping to achieve by this type of post.
This isn't a Microsoft forum and is run by Windows enthusiasts.
Perhaps you would be better off contacting Microsoft regarding your problem.
Also, I would imagine that you might get a better response with a more suitable thread title.

Windows Central Question

why are you sending the data belonging to one account to other account in cloud?

i had a laptop configured with every authentication based on 365 OFFICE account credentials.
after ca 5 days i discover that your synchronization (at office level and windows level) is whit another account - LIVE ACCOUNT with same name!
and moreover the application on my laptop are pointing vs live account instead 365 account!
now:
1. if that other account is mine (might be a very old one, almost never used as mail account) - i CANNOT recover it because there are no enough correct answers for your list of Q's for recover password for it;
2. if that other account is not mine... YOU'VE SENT MY DATA TO SOMEONE ELSE! - because i do not find it on 365 office online.

Either way... how i can recover MY data, that you - Microsoft - has sent it somewhere else, into an account that i was having not the credentials for?

Windows Central is an enthusiast message board operated by Mobile Nations, and has no affiliation with Microsoft. But we do have an active community that may be able to help.

I'm not sure I fully understand your problem. When you create your account on the PC, you provide the credentials to create the account. Did you originally create the account and then subsequently forget the password for this account?

Merged again... And we are done here.

User, if you want to be argumentative and hostile it makes it difficult for volunteers to want to assist you. Your aggression is misplaced as we are simply users like yourself.

You would not be so demanding of answers from your neighbor just because he had a Windows computer would you? We are your neighbors.
