Why aren't I getting an internet connection?

Not Getting an Internet Connection

My OS is Windows 10. Not getting an internet connection, not in a coffee shop, not at a hotspot, nor in the library that I am currently in.

The wifi icon in my task pane is absent.

A bit desperate. Could use some help. Thanks.

Is this a surface device? I've had that issue quite a few times when the wifi icon disappears from the task pane.

Solution: go to my pc/my computer, system settings, device manager. Look for the network drivers and check the status of the wifi drivers. Disable the wifi driver and then enable it again. I hope that works for you
