Why aren't my WhatsApp images showing up in image gallery?

WhatsApp images are not showing up in image gallery.

Previously all WhatsApp images were showing in Others folder while the images are stored under WhatsApp folder though when i check through PC or Files app. After the latest WhatsApp update the images are getting stored but it is not showing in the Pictures gallery, but i can see them in all photos but not in Albums.

I am facing the same issue. I upgraded my Whatsapp on my Windows 8.1. I cant see whatsapp pictures, but they get stored in memory card and can be accessed in PC. Please let us know if someone has found a fix for it...:unhappy:

They're now in Whatsapp folder instead.

I tried many things like uninstall..reinstalling .. Removing the WhatsApp folder from PC I.e cutting the folder n pasting in PC .. Several Restarts. .. Finally i fixed it lately .. But I can't say which is exact fix ..last thing I remember doing after I rolled back all the above changes was I renamed the WhatsApp folder name from Files app n when new media came automatically it created a new folder with WhatsApp name n started showing in albums too n so after that I moved all my media from the renamed folder .. Everything is fine now.

ssushmanth what you suggested worked wonders..i renamed the folder and then automatically Whatsapp created the folder..would now transfer all the images into that folder now

I was facing the same issue but I fixed the bug on my phone. You just have to change the name of your current Whatsapp folder in your memory card like change it to "What Sapp" and switch off your phone, restart the phone now u will find that folder in your picture galary but now it is not your whatsapp folder ask any of ur frnd to send any image on whatsapp now whatsapp will create a new folder in memory card and this folder will be shown in your picture galary. Now you can transfer your images from "What Sapp" to new folder. This is how I fixed my bug, I hope it will help you guys

Hi,, I tried the method you mentioned here and nothing happened. I could see the renamed whatsApp folder in my gallery, but the new downloads are again getting saved in a new WhatsApp folder , which I am not able to see in the gallery.. I can see it in SD card ..

actually its a nice bug, you dont need gallery lock for whats app images after all, i am facing the same bug, whatsapp images are getting stored in the folder but not previewing in the photos app

I already done it! Renamed the folder; not only did the prhotographs appeared; but also I can save the new Whatsapp photos I am receiving.
