Why aren't new contacts searchable?

new contacts are not searchable

when I input a new contact it appears on the screen if that person calls me, but the contact does not appear if I search for it

Have you put it under the same account(s) under the contact settings when created?

Also, check the filter settings.
Microsoft People -> Settings -> Accounts -> Filter contacts -> Check your accounts to show

Think I had some similar trouble when I first imported my contacts on my 950XL, hopefully it's the same on 8.1.
